From time to time, I like to share some fun-facts about me so you can learn a little bit more about who is behind this website. Why not?
1. Orange is my favorite color.
2. In high school everyone had a nickname. Mine was “rock trivia” because I could name that band and tune. Mad 80’s skills lol!
3. A self-development course that really made an impact on me was Landmark Education. Some people find it cult-y; I got a ton of value out of the classes I took. That’s where I learned about the growth mindset.
4. I was a baton twirler in grade school.
5. My parents sent me to France to spend the summer with my God-mother to get some “culture” when I was 16. I flew by myself, very scared, and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. That trip opened my eyes big time. What a gift. Forever grateful. That trip helped me be even more independent than I already was. There’s a whole other world outside US soil!
6. People have told me I look like “Sister, Sister” (90’s reference, look it up), Rashida Jones, Naomi Campbell, Filipina actress Christine Gambito aka “HappySlip” (look her up) and my most favorite, when I was in my 20’s someone thought I looked like a little bit like Christy Turlington! Do any of these people look like each other? I don’t think so, but isn’t it interesting what people come up with…
7. Never went through a phase where I hated boys. I think every childhood friend of mine at some point thought boys were disgusting. I definitely did not.
8. Never thought I’d get married and I did! Happy I did!
9. My friend Maria and I really wanted to be Benetton models in the 80’s. We submitted photos of us posing in Benetton clothing to someone?? But no dice.
10. My mom forced me to plan piano when I was in single digits. Although I hated it at the time, looking back, I’m glad she did it. I miss my piano!
Thanks for going down memory lane with me. Hope that was a fun read =)
