Time Sensitive: I’m writing this post during the Covid-19 crisis. I hope you and your loved ones are safe and well. How has it been for you these past few weeks? Have you found you’ve had more time for things, special projects? In this newsletter, I wanted to share a special project I’m doing and my art giveaway to you.
It’s been a roller coaster of emotions in this household. The first several weeks I felt drained from work, getting assimilated to the “new norm.” After about 3 or so weeks, I started to find a rhythm and space to do the things that I love doing, like painting. I also decided to experiment and try new things. I did my first IG Live painting sessions. Then I hopped on to Facebook and did a week of painting sessions there. I crafted a new art series called “Quarantine Art” (and creating more!) These are small 4×4 inch canvases 1 inch thick, acrylic paintings, very expressive and textured. The art represents ups and downs of emotions I’ve gone through during this time. Picasso captured how I’m feeling these days in his quote: “The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” I hope this art brightens your day, gets you to think and to see beauty during these challenging times.
During these trying times, I wanted to do somethng to girganizations that support healthcare workers; companies providing food and mental health support. I’m hosting a blind art auction on Instagram 4/27/20 thru 5/1/20 but please feel free to bid now! A blind auction means no bidder knows the bid of any other bidder.
Blind Auction Rules:
* Each painting is numbered. 4×4 inch canvas 1 inch thickness.
* Starting bid for each painting is $35 or “buy it now” $350.
* Only bid in whole numbers please.
* 20% of proceeds go to one of the charities listed below and chosen by bidder.
* DM me with painting number and bid.
* This blind auction will run Monday 4/27 12:01AM and end 5/1 at 11:59PM PST
* Highest bidder will pays the price submitted and will receive artwork.
* Payment must be received before painting is shipped.
* Shipping cost: $5/US $15/International
* Winners will be tagged on image. Then I will send an email with the winning bids, asking for postal address and method of payment (Venmo, PayPal, Square)
* Payment must be received within 2 days or it goes to next bidder.
