Assess looks like another word, doesn’t it? I just noticed that! Ha! Assessing is all about reflection. This is the last step in my 5-step framework. You’ve set your quarterly plan; chunked it down; and you’ve taken action. That’s great! This phase is about taking a step back and asking yourself, did I accomplish what I said I would accomplish? There’s a number of ways you can do this. I’ll share what’s worked for me.
Daily reflection: At the end of each day, you can ask yourself 3 questions:
1. What did I do to move towards my goal today?
2. What got in the way of my progress today?
3. What did I learn about myself today?
Weekly: Ask yourself these questions:
1. What’s one decision I could’ve made to bring me closer to my goal?
2. What can I commit to this coming week to improve?
3. What wins can I celebrate this week? Who was there? What happened?
Monthly: What monthly milestone did you set? Did you accomplish it – yes or no? Reset and refocus for the next month.
Do you have a way of tracking your progress that works for you? I’d love to hear about it! In the meantime if I can help you move along your path, don’t hesitate to reach out! Cheers to your success!
